Art has transformed into a new way. Exhibits are starting to have more of an immersive experience and have patrons interact with art installations. The experience, from the exhibits, allows patrons to learn how they were created. Once the news travels about the exhibit(s) then more exhibits are created. There are about ten plus locations in the city of Chicago.
Immersive Van Gogh and HideSeek take the Chicago neighborhood of Old Town. Immersive Van Gogh is an immersive experience where patrons feel like they are in the paintings. The exhibit’s first showing was in February earlier this year and is expected to end this November. As for HideSeek, they encourage adults to bring out the child inside them while interacting with art installations and taking selfies to create memories. This exhibit is expected to end on October 31st, don’t miss it.
If you are looking for exhibits aimed towards children then visit the Dr.Seuss Experience and the Marvel: Universe of Super-Heroes. Visit the Water Tower Place where you can hang out with all your favorite characters from Horton Hears a Who to Cat in the Hat. The characters will not only leave a smile on a child’s face but bring nostalgia for the adults. You may also want to pay a visit to see Spider-Man and his friends in action at the Museum of Science and Industry. Witness how the characters came to life on comics and the big screen.
More exhibits will blow your mind. The Chicago History Museum is showcasing Vivian Maier’s “in color” photography from the 1960s-1970s. If you happen to see yourself wanting to explore paintings from the nineteenth century then join the Art Institute of Chicago displaying Hokusai and Hiroshige work. Also, don’t miss the opportunity to explore the Museum of Illusions, Neon and Light Museum, WNDR Museum, and the Art of Banksy.
