Today I had the chance to interview Sophia. We talked about everything from friendship to love, from the future to the past, and from dreams to regrets. Once she began opening up and talking about what means most to her in life, her smile grew and grew. Anyone walking by could tell that she is a sincere, caring young woman. In our conversation, her genuine love for her friends stood out to me. Friendship is an important aspect in her life, and the people she is close with mean a lot to her. What does friendship mean to you?

“Uhm, it means just like having somewhere, someone that like you can turn to with anything and like just like being there for someone and like trustworthy.”

What roles do love and affection play in your life?

“Uhm like pretty big roles, I mean because I feel like not only just to my boyfriend and stuff, but like to my friends and stuff. I like like I have affection towards them and I feel on a personal level. Like they’re there for me and I’m there for them.”
