This survey has me worried about the fitness industry

So there’s a new survey that came out recently that I thought I should share. It’s asked several “diet experts” how is fat burned off from the human body. Something these experts should know, right? Well, a recent post from Dr. Eddie Jo says otherwise. First thing first, let’s get to know what fat is made of.

What’s in fat?

As most know, fat and oil is a lipid. Lipids are organic compounds that are fatty acid and insoluble in water. Now, if any of you can still remember 8th-grade biology, you would know that most lipids are composed of Hydrogen atoms, Carbon atoms, and Oxygen atoms.

How fat is released from the body
So according to Dr. Eddie Jo, fat is released by being converted into water and CO2 when the body is burring it. This makes sense considering what the body releases, CO2, and how fat is made through the process of dehydration synthesis. So the opposite must be the same.

The reason I’m worried

Now the reason I’m worried about the fitness industry is because, out of 150 nutrition experts only three of them were able to correctly answer how fat is broken down in the body. The scary part is that most of these “experts” think its thermos-dynamics that makes the fat magically go away. Now, if you’re the average gym-goer, you might not know the answer either, but these are experts we’re talking about. They went to take classes to teach this information to people. They’re supposed to help people burn fat, but can’t even explain the process in how it’s done.
Now for some, this may not seem like a big deal. However, I just want you to think about this for a second. If these were doctors, and they couldn’t explain how sickness works, wouldn’t you be worried?

Fitness is one of the things that has taught me discipline and focus. Some of the things I focus on in my blogs is training methods and gadgets used in fitness.
