This is what perplexes me. The man’s entire campaign has been vile, but the proverbial “straw” is a few off-color jokes he made on a bus, where he presumably has an expectation of privacy.
His jokes weren’t funny. Condemn his sense of humor and I’ll readily join you — but don’t condemn his character because of a few ill-conceived and unfunny jokes. Condemn his character for the ill-conceived and terrifying things he’s said — in earnest !— on the campaign trail and in interviews.
And for nation’s sake, if he wasn’t joking — if he’s actually done the things he joked about on that bus — don’t condemn him , prosecute him.
