Comcast Must Pay $2.3 Million Fine for “Negative Option Billing”

I’ll throw in a vote for “unnecessarily frustrated” — I’ve been a Comcast customer for 2+ years now, and every time I call them to start or change a service, I am promised an email confirming what was said on the phone. I have never, not once, received said email. I’ve checked spam folders, I’ve checked the weird email account they make you set up through them — nada. I’m still convinced I was screwed out of both a lower monthly bill and a lower cable modem rental fee when I first signed up, but since I had no proof but my memory, I had no recourse! It’s super fun! Just switched my service this month and am waiting to see what my next monthly bill will actually come out to!
