Compromise

Western culture is based on it. Relationships, Work, Love, Family, Government. Why do we do it, why do we ask others to do it? Selfishness, greed, we want it all, but in the end we have nothing.

Those who don't compromise we idolize. Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela, J.K. Rowling, J.J. Abrams. We celebrate these people who don’t accept concept of compromise. They push towards what they believe and leave anyone who doesn't want to join them to make a decision.

Instead of compromise why not support and help. Why not teach our children to be strong individuals standing for what they believe instead of wilting to teachers and peers. We say we want to do this but far to often I hear parents using the words “won’t” and “can’t”. Teachers, the ones we ask to mold our children into adults, teaching that I’m always right and you have to do what I say. Why not open our children minds instead of closing them.

Push our loved ones toward their passion, encourage them to take risks and make decisions. Be there to help them when it doesn’t work and inspire them to try again and again and again. Show them you will always be there to celebrate the success and reinvigorate them when they get knocked down.

Be truthful. Live the life you want. Hope is a fallacy. Do, Live, and treat others how you wish to be treated. Be inspired as you inspire others, Push as you push others. Celebrate and ask others to celebrate with you. Be free from the ties others try to put on you.

The people that inspire you, that challenge you. The ones that are there for you when you are down, they don't judge, they are there for you. These are the special people. Remember these people, love them.
