Here are the steps to configure Tensorflow docker container that uses your local Nvidia GPU in Manjaro Linux.

Using cmd-line. This should automatically identify the NVIDIA card, and install the right driver.

$x@mypc#sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0300
$x@mypc#sudo pacman -Syu
$x@mypc#sudo pacman -S docker
$x@mypc#sudo systemctl enable — now docker
$x@mypc#sudo systemctl…

The recommended method is to use an already available tensor flow docker container.

The steps here (https://github.com/tensorflow/tensorflow/issues/25247) helped me connect the Colaboratory to my local docker container that was running tensorflow.

Pre-steps:

a. Install docker.io using apt-get or aptitude. I got errors using snap

$ sudo aptitude install docker.io

pip…

$lsusb

I have been spending time lately to find problems, that I can solve. Big or small. Tech or non-tech. There are too many directions to pursue. Too many unknowns. Finding a problem and sticking to it is hard enough.

What do you do. Narrow the scope of search. Nobody said they have solved all the problems at hand. The problems you face, you know the edge cases better. Chances are you already have done a literature survey to find what solutions exist and how they are incomplete. And what you can fix.
