Has anyone called Bill out for his Malik Monk stance? About how he will go too low in the draft and is almost guaranteed to be good and he raves about him every chance he gets, yet Monk is just another guard in a long line of college shooters that don’t do anything but shoot. Bill even said it himself about how Buddy Hield won’t ever be a star because he’s only good at shooting. Is there a big difference between Hield and Monk that I’m missing besides age? Sure, players get better and evolve, but what real evidence is there that Monk will be one of them. College scorers always overrated because nobody in college is good enough to adjust and stop them, Monk is simply that at this point. I still believe he is a top prospect who should be late lottery bound, but ever since Bill’s Hield take on Monday, I was waiting for one person to point out the similarities between the two, and then it never happened. I guess there is nobody around Bill at the Ringer willing to point out obvious things that make him look not so great.
