You are right, but I was referring to what Bill said about Hield on the NBA Ringer podcast where he says Hield can’t be a star because “with guards you have to look at the other things” like rebounding, passing, and defense. So he said Hield can’t be anything other than a contributor to a good team. My first thought was simply that Monk plays the exact same as Hield. And Bill and House LOVED Hield last year. The only thing that changes is that he didn’t pan out immediately. I admit that players need time to grow and Monk could do that and become Beal or something like that. But the main take away I got from this past week of NBA coverage is that people are afraid to tell Bill anything that doesn’t please him. I guess when the Boss says things its hard to be argumentative with the Boss’s favorite. That just made me a little puzzled about how truly objective the coverage on the Ringer is today. Is it just what Bill thinks? Or can people point out how he totally got himself into a corner and he should at least explain why he feels differently.
