Accessing the situation properly is very important. The last thing you want to do is react or say something when your hunch is wrong. Here are a few telltale signs to consider.

Telltale signs that people are talking about you behind your back

  • When you walk into the room, is the atmosphere different than it normally is?
  • Does the atmosphere seem unnaturally serious?
  • Have people stopped talking when you arrived?
  • Were the tones whispered as you were approaching?
  • Are people suddenly making themselves busy?
