I once read this article by Mark Suster and he talked about how most VCs would rather not want to do something that could cause their underperforming portfolio companies from dying out altogether. Maybe the behaviour you are discussing in this blog post is specific to VCs who have completely lost faith in the founders and don’t want to drop a single more penny, or have fallen out with them?
