Hello, It’s Me

Hi, my name is Maeve. I have no idea how to start my life story, or how to limit it to 100 words. I’ve experienced so many things and I have so many important views on the world. 100 words just isn’t enough. Ok so pretty much I love everything and I everyone. There is so much negativity in this world and the only way to over come that is to be positive. So that’s what I am. I try to help as many people and spread as much happiness as I can. I can’t change the whole world but I can change my own so I have completely taken advantage of that. Also, I am in band, show choir, dance, I teach piano lessons, and I love Adele. The end.

This song is called “Nuvole Bianche” and it is composed by Ludovico Einaudi. It is my absolute favorite song for many reasons. One of the reasons is because it’s so stress relieving. Its translation is “white clouds”. When I listen to it, I close my eyes and think of the sky. All of my stress goes away and I instantly feel better. I also love this song because I learned how to play it on the piano, which has been my biggest accomplishment within the decade I’ve played.

This is me pretending to be happy even though I was super bummed because I forgot to take a picture at 9 o’clock. My life was very interesting at that time; I was at band running around and eating an apple.

This is Christopher John Barnum. He completely changed my life. Last year, I took a class with him called Harmony and Arranging and I n November, he asked me if I would play the piano in band because their pianist was graduating. I said yes, and didn’t start until June. At the end of sophomore year I was pretty lost. I didn’t know who my friends were or if I even wanted to do show choir anymore. But when band started everything changed. Now I couldn’t be happier and I have the best friends in the world. Thanks CBarn, helping me find myself.

This is Shelly. Shelley was my show choir director freshman year. He was knew about music on a whole different level than any music teacher I’d ever had. Because of him, I learned how complex arranging music can be. From changing a few notes, to adding new harmonies, melodies, chord structures, and so much more. I took Harmony and Arranging because of him. I wanted to learn and explore what he loved. That’s RShelly for expanding my musical knowledge to a place I thought it could never go.

This is my mom (aka Jules)… and some creepy kid in the back. My mom is absolutely my biggest inspiration. She has taught me everything I know and I am who I am because of her. She is so smart about life and people. I know to be kind and accept others no matter what. She gives me advice about every little thing and she’s always right. I hope I can raise my kids as well as she did because she really has been doing an incredible job. ❤️

My biggest, and really only, dream is to be a music therapist. Music is a huge part of my life and it has helped me through more than I expected. So, I did a lot of research on how much music can really help a person, and it turns out it’s a profession. Every since I discovered this its all I’ve wanted to do because I get to help people with something I love.

Last year on June 26, 2015, same-sex marriage became legal in America. One of my views of this country is acceptance. We have come such a long way with accepting people for who they are whether, they’re gay, straight, black, white, etc.

On the other hand, there is so much negativity and discrimination in this country. Several absolutely terrible things have been happening that make living in the U.S. unbearable for a lot of people. Completely the opposite of my first view, America can also be extremely judge mental and separated.

The next thing that comes to my mind when I think about America is food. There’s a lot of it here from all different places made in al, different ways. Americans love food a lot. Yes, I’m defiantly from America.

A single golf clap? Or a long standing ovation?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
