Yan,

Sterling,

and Vera.

What do these men have in common?

They all fell to the hands of Sean “Sugar” O'Malley and 2 were former champs.

While it may seem like O’Malley hasn’t fought big names consistently, he’s fought the best, and he didn’t just win; he dominated them.

A knockout over Sterling propelled him into even more profound stardom.

A stifling victory over Yan showed he could do more than just hang with the big boys.

A sensational masterclass over Vera last Saturday proved again that O’Malley doesn’t have an Achilles heel and that despite a loss to Vera, he wouldn’t be bested or denied victory again.

What’s next for the champ?

O’Malley wants Illia Toperia, who became champion after knocking out Volkanoski in a stunning victory.

Will this happen? Possibly, but first, Merab Dvalishvilli could be next to fight O’Malley, many agree too, as he’s on an impressive 11-fight win streak.

O’Malley is looking to do what only 7 other UFC fighters have done, which is become a double champ. Many look at Sugar as the second coming of Conor McGregor, and all I can say is that the comparisons are similar in style, swagger, antics, and spectacular knockouts.

What is seen throughout history this time around is that O’Malley is blazing his own trail and with no intent of leaving the UFC.
