What Would a Female President Look Like?

An amazing question was brought up in class this week. “What would a female president look like?” It’s intriguing because I have no clue. I’d love to believe that any qualified women could get into office no matter what she looked like, but the reality is that people, not just women, are judged by their outward appearance. So here’s a list of attributes I feel like a female president would have to have to get elected (these are not things that I require for a president but what I would guess that the US would elect)

  1. White, white passing or mixed but of lighter skin
  2. Brown hair. (Blond would be ditzy, red head too fiery, gray would indicate age)
  3. Straight hair (if a mixed women was elected she would be berated for having natural hair)
  4. Height would be between 5'5" and 5'9" (if she’s too short she’ll be seen as weak, too tall and she’s not feminine enough) Definitely can’t be taller than most or all of the males running against her
  5. Could not be sexy. (Women get ridiculed for being naturally beautiful because it could be distracting or some shit all the time.
  6. Natural makeup (Too much make up and people will assume she is vane)
  7. Business looking all the time and nothing too fun for accessories or clothes.
  8. Would have to be married
  9. No young kids and can’t be of age to have more kids (because a women’s first job is to take care of her children)
  10. Not gay
  11. Not trans

I personally would love to be so wrong in this list and we get a female president who is the opposite of what we thought our female president would be. She kicks ass and takes names and is a wonderful leader who brings America to a time where EVERYONE feels safe. I’d take any president who does that male or female.
