how bad can it be? Look at all the ancient Mig-21s still in service!!! Russian planes are known for their robustness and the fact they have a much more simplified approach to service. Many countries have operated Russian and Soviet planes for DECADES. Iraq bought SU-25s and MI-28 even though they had F-16s on order. So yes they have poor service if you don’t pay for it. But the fact is, they were able to deliver and stand up a fleet of SU-25s and MI-28s for Iraq faster then the US could could get congressional permission to accept the order.
