The future of Myanmar websites

Here on 07 Feb 2017, I think back when I was using friendster, myspace and MRIC playing games or chatting with random persons on the internet in the 2006–2007. I thought those were the internet — did not realise internet was way bigger than that.

Myanmar is going through exactly a period like this — everyone is on the Facebook thinking Facebook is the internet. We have to thank Facebook for introducing the products so easy to use even for first time mobile users. Their products helped our people get familiar with technology faster than anything else which is good for all tech companies in Myanmar. However, some publishers are worried that their websites will slowly die out due to Facebook influence.

But trust me, the future of Myanmar websites is brighter than before.

As the internet users in Myanmar grow tremendously, there will be a need for places for them to look for information besides Facebook.

Sharing information on the web for everyone to access easily is important for the development of a country and its language. Imagine ancient people did not share information on how to start a fire — we would still stuck trying to start a fire in the 2017. It is crucial to pass down information from generation to generation.

We at MOA (www.moa.com.mm) are estimating the web traffic in Myanmar will double at least by the end of 2017. Believing that, we invested heavily in creating the world first Myanmar language and behaviour targeted Ad Network that will help publisher make money online from creating contents on the web for the people.

Let us help you generate revenue from your website while you focus on creating better contents for Myanmar people.
