“Blockchain and Industrial Innovations” Book Launch Captures Holiday Spirit
SAN FRANCISCO, CA. — With the holiday season in full swing, the authors of “Blockchain and Industrial Innovations” had a special treat for those attending Thursday night’s book launch party at Jasper San Francisco.
Guests entered the second floor lounge to find copies of the book underneath a tall Christmas tree. During the launch party, those books were signed and personalized by co-authors Sha Zhou and Cherie Liu.
Zhou has advised the Chinese government on issues such as the Beijing Olympics, Taiwan, Global RMB, and the One Belt One Road development strategy. His connections in China and the United States put him in a unique position to connect both worlds to form a strategic solution for new frontier technology to thrive.
Currently, Zhou serves the Chairman of MOAC Technology, a blockchain group founded in China in 2017 that has since expanded to Silicon Valley (with offices in San Francisco and Palo Alto). The company’s dual-layer architecture provides unparalleled support for developers. It allows developers to construct decentralized applications of all kinds in an environment that supports both proof-of-work and proof-of-stake.
“Right now, our system is the only system in the world which can host commercial-grade applications,” Zhou remarked at the party.
Liu, meanwhile, serves as a Partner at Outpost Capital and as MOAC’s Chief Marketing Officer. As a Wall Street veteran, Cherie is focused on investing and advising blockchain, consumer technologies, and cleantech. She is experienced in team-building, operation, marketing strategy building, and management.
Together, Zhou, Liu, and CEO David Chen (left) are helping to lead MOAC forward into 2019 and beyond. The company’s dual-layer architecture is expected to support 500 decentralized applications by the end of next year.
“We think this is a great read for everyone during the holiday season,” Liu said. “It’s kind of the wintertime for blockchain, but at the same time, there’s a lot going on in China. This book shows what we’ve achieved with enterprise partnerships and industrial applications.”
Also written by Xiaojun Jiang and Peng Xiangli, “Blockchain and Industrial Innovations” was published with the assistance of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The book provides insight into how blockchain technology can promote industrial innovation and build a new ecological industry.
The book’s authors tackled blockchain’s place in fields ranging from electronics and logistics to artificial intelligence and finance. The thorough examination provides an in-depth elaboration on the integration and innovation between blockchain and industry, and also offers feasible guidance for the development of the industry.
“Blockchain and Industrial Innovations” is currently being translated from Chinese to English. It will be available in the United States in 2019.
