Jack, this is a beautiful eulogy for your grandfather. I was privileged to have known him a little, and he did leave a very strong legacy of actions and people. He was truly a good man. Your writing is every bit as good, if not better and more personal, than Randy Gaylord’s words to the San Juan County Council, which have been published in various local papers. I would urge you to send this in to The Sounder the Orcas Issues, as a tribute to your grandfather.
