Throughout the long river of human history and civilization, the sun has always been revered as the supreme entity. Under its glorious gaze, countless dynasties have risen and fallen, and history surges forward…
Yet, few are aware that the sun can be wrathful. In the past, most people couldn’t observe this miraculous phenomenon. However, recently discovered and named, it is known as solar flare. Ancient sages knew that these flares, though invisible, had profound and painful effects on the progression of human civilization.

Droughts, rising temperatures, famine, and scorching heat accompany the eruption of flares, exacting a toll for mankind’s wicked deeds. Behind it all, a divine being, the overseer of these flares, silently observes. With a robust physique, his dark skin engraved with the totem of the sun, his resolute eyes depict confidence and hope. Brimming with blazing energy, just like the sun itself, Apolaki, The Flare, is the embodiment of solar flares, representing the sun’s anger.

He is like the rising sun and the morning glow.
He is like a requiem and divine punishment.
His dual blades, named Shengmin, swiftly cut through evil and darkness.
His heavy blade, named MianGe allows the dawn and the radiance of hope to flourish.

In this holy war, he no longer needs to confine himself. He descends upon the world in his true form, crushing the skulls of the insignificant ants. He represents the sun, which people believe to be incredibly benevolent, delivering divine retribution in its name. He seems to be searching for that self-proclaimed hero from the East who thought they could bring down the sun…

Within the imperial city, a bowstring involuntarily trembles…

Skill Names and Descriptions

(1) Passive Skill: Will
Apolaki’s skills accumulate or consume Sword Qi. When the Sword Will reaches 100 or 0, he switches his form. In Dual Blades form, each attack or skill hit accumulates Sword Qi. When Sword Qi is above 50, he gains additional skill damage. In Great Sword form, each skill hit reduces Sword Qi. When Sword Qi is below 50, he gains additional attack power.

(2) Active Skill 1: Sear
Apolaki swings his dual blades, dealing damage twice to targets in a frontal area.

(3) Active Skill 2: Pride
Upon activation, Apolaki charges his heavy sword (up to 1.5s), then leaps forward and strikes down, knocking up all hit enemies and reducing their armor.

(4) Active Skill 3: Shred
Apolaki moves forward, dealing four consecutive damage instances to all enemy units in his path, each causing physical damage based on the target’s maximum health.

(5) Active Skill 4: Sin
Upon activation, Apolaki raises his great sword and enters a defensive stance for a certain duration (up to 2s). Releasing the skill or when the duration ends, he swings the great sword, dealing damage and stunning nearby targets.

(6) Ultimate Skill 1: Bright
Apolaki leaps into the air, fuses his dual swords, immediately gains 100 Sword Qi, and switches to Great Sword form upon landing. He knocks up all enemies in the target area and increases his attack power.

(7) Ultimate Skill 2: Shine
Apolaki leaps into the air, disassembles his great sword, and releases a wide-area Sword Qi. It pulls all enemies within the area towards him and switches to Dual Blades form upon landing. He increases his movement speed and skill damage.

Skill Usage

Apolaki is a versatile fighter who can switch forms. In Dual Blades form, he relies on skill damage and agility for output. In Great Sword form, he uses his heavy sword for counterattacks and high attack damage. He needs to control his Sword Qi in battle, switching forms at the right moment and utilizing the additional attribute bonuses provided by Sword Qi to emerge victorious in complex situations.

Counter Techniques

Apolaki possesses a multitude of control skills and burst damage. Be mindful of his Sword Will, as he can unleash a small burst when it nears full or empty.

Teamfight Strategy

In teamfights, Apolaki needs to keep an eye on his Sword Will. He should use his ultimate skill to control key enemy heroes, quickly reducing their health. However, he is not a hero designed for securing kills and can leave the task to other assassin heroes.

Hero Relationships

Apolaki synergizes well with other fighter or tank heroes, such as Brynhild and Bhima.

Countered By

Apolaki’s late-game combat ability relies heavily on skills, making him susceptible to heroes with normal attacks, such as warrior Anawrahta or the Marksman Artemis.

Counters

Apolaki’s skill combos pose a significant threat to backline heroes, such as Merlin and Napoleon.
