Material Design: Why the Floating Action Button is bad UX design

This seems like more of an argument for being more selective about FAB use/use cases. As in the example of the list, that could be resolved by adding extra padding at the bottom of the list content when it scrolls to the end. Also you didn’t address the use where the FAB is to the side of the content (as in the tablet screenshots in the header). Thoughts there?
