Nacho Cove — News and updates-

For those of you who know me, you know that I love doing startups. About a year and a half ago, one of my startups (Nacho Cove) was not doing great. The technology was awesome, but several moves by large enterprise players interrupted (if not downright killed) the sales pipeline.

Like any good founder, I wanted the technology and the team to find a home. We thought we had, when a like-minded team applied to take over Nacho Cove, build on the great base we had, and target a different set of customers. Well, those of you who have been around the block a time or two will not be surprised to hear that the new team imploded under the stress of doing a startup, leaving the technology languishing. This was tough for me, not just because of the energy I had invested in the company, but because the building blocks for fundamentally changing enterprise communications were all in place.

After much soul-searching, some of the original team/founders came back together, re-focused the product, and have made several updates to the app, and its technology. Nacho Mail is very much alive, and even better than ever. Some of the patents we applied for have come through, and some new customers are evaluating the product and beginning to deploy it. I’m not egotistical enough to say that it’s back from the dead, but I believe that the technology and solutions will be in use for many years to come. We have a few tricks up our sleeve that you’ll hear about in the coming months as well.
