Hackintosh is it worth it?
Hello guys, I’m off for a long time though! XD Yeah, 2016, new resolution. I’m feel excited to see the future!
I’ll tell you a story about my journey, I’ve done developing my Hackintosh on Acer laptop. I do explore and read one of my friend’s blog. He is agus, he is awesome. He help me the way I’m here today.
With this hackintosh, I can build iOS apps or at least learn swift programming language XD
But most of all, I love the terminal :) The unix that OS X brings is so briliant. There’s so much developer out there that blog / do some tutorial and majority of it is shows their terminal XD
It makes me feel to get quickly into the terminal as well, also I’m proficient at unix environment. I’ve been developing for 2 years, not so much experience though.
And you know, there’s also someone suggested me: “Ubuntu / any other GUI linux has terminal, right? Why don’t choose that instead of hybrid machine (mac os in unofficial hardware)?”
I think, Linux is awesome. But, I don’t feel like any interested on GUI instead. I’ve tested Ubuntu, and feel unsatisfied, CentOS, GnaTrack (when I try to hack a wifi password of my neighbour). It doesn’t feel right to use linux with GUI. But, its minimal / server version is really amazing. I do really use linux, but for server only. Not for daily use, like listening to music, browsing.
With hackintosh, I can do daily basis and do some advance programming, there’s so much support for it! The documentation is well explained. And with this OS X, I can be more productive!
Ah, recently I learn golang. Before I start on iOS. Yeah, I know I can be a superman to learn everything at once! But, I do want to see different perspective on every aspect of programming language. I love java, but I still don’t know C / C++. C# is awesome when developing Microsoft based application. I want to learn Unity too XD
But, that’s all. I chose golang. It’s new, and not so many have experienced that golang. Many of great startup or big company already implement golang as their codebase. With golang, I feel that I can be a stand-out programmer.
Hopefully, I’m on track. I can launch my porftolio website, and blogging there. Create my own tutorial. So, everyone can learn it too :)
Yeah, I think that’s all for today.
See ya soon guys,
