Buy All Your Furniture at Target, For Tomorrow We Die

Disagree. I’ve moved quite a bit, gotten rid of lots of stuff, even lived abroad, and I’ve had my share of crap furniture, including a dresser from Ikea and Target bookshelves.

Where are they now? The landfill, because they didn’t move with me, and I actually sat down and did the real math, and to keep replacing them would be far more expensive than saving up my pennies and buying something built to last.

So I have a gorgeous solid wood dresser that I love, a mattress that doesn’t give me backaches, solid wood bookshelves (that fold up so they can easily move with me), and I haven’t had to replace any of it, and unless something catastrophic happens or my tastes change entirely, I won’t for the rest of my life.

My particle board Target shelves almost fell on top of me, because the crap shelves nearly gave way under my books. Never going to have that issues with my other ones.

I will never go back to the cheap furniture — it is, quite frankly, too expensive.
