Travel like a wave, hit like a particle.
We travel light these days. What’s more, we travel like light: masslessly, though impactful when we (on a good day) reach our goal. This is our inventory list for this week’s concerts:
- 1 x Guitar (acoustic in soft bag).
- 1 x Accordion (also in soft bag).
- 2 x canvas bags full of electronics, microphones, cables etc.
- 75 x CD (for six shows), 18 x LP (assorted, all I could carry) and 600 x postcards (to give away).
- 1 x cello (in hard case + flight case) with cellist.
- Too many t-shirts and foreign currencies.
- Too little underwear and English pounds.

Yesterday we performed in Manchester for the first time since ye olde days of 2010. Last time, we were 5 on stage and 4 people watching. It is good to be able to say that things are moving in the right direction. These are the songs we played:
The Man in Ausa (translated from Norwegian, world premiere)
The Squares
Poetry
A Sense of Grey (the audience demanded it)
Run to the Water
Bridges and Balloons (Joanna Newsom cover)
Krokstav-emne
Eli Geva (new single, to be released 31 October although I haven’t told anyone yet)
House by the Sea (hit like a particle)
Rubbles (after too much talking)
The Architect (after too few thankyous)
And then I lost my voice. Luckily, it was already late. And Monday. And everybody agreed that it had been a good day.
