Degeneration of cognitive power leads to far uglier outcomes than failing to go to the gym. Cognitive sloth leads to bad life decisions because the decision processing becomes subject to manipulation and disinformation. Further, research has shown that continued challenging cognitive exercise can help mitigate that horrific life endgame: neurodegenerative descent into living death.
So while your body is sweating productively, LEARN something, too. Reading or an audio book or course that honestly stretches your mind can have your brain sweating, too. The “learning” bit is critical. Doing sudoku does not count.
