Introducing fBlock, AdBlocker for the new Facebook

I read this article on Wall Street Journal today that Facebook will force Advertising on Ad-Blocking users. So yea, they made it hard since they hashed every URL so it is harder to block these URLs from loading. But is it Game Over? Of course not.

Couple of years ago, they did the same thing regarding my “Facebook Exporter” extension, they shut it down saying they own our friends data. I don’t get why companies want to own the data we provide. And now they want us to look at Ads that are so targeted and creepy.

I spent a few minutes this morning creating an extension that did something so simple. AdBlock extension to get rid of Facebook sponsored stories and Ads. Just discover where the “Sponsored” content is rendered. By using DOM MutationObservers, we can remove sponsored content on the fly.
