Two stupid questions we need to stop asking.

In these articles I will be sharing with you two stupid questions that we are fund of asking without knowing they are stupid.

They are; “why are you crying?” and “when are you getting married”.

The first question is “why are you crying?”.

We need to know that it is wrong to ask a fellow human this question, the correct question is “what is making you cry?”. Humans have feelings and emotions, we cry when we are upset, and sometimes when we experience a moment of joy so it’s okay for us to cry. When you ask someone “why are you crying?”, it sounds like you’re telling someone that it’s not okay to cry and shed some tears. Sometimes people make a mockery of you when you shed some tears, they address you as a weak person. But what you need to know is that those tears were not given to us by God for nothing when he created us. As Muslims, we are told that when we need something from God so desperately it’s okay to cry to him while praying.

The second question is “when are you getting married?”. Most of the times we get this particular question from our elders, who seem to be disturbed about us being single. But the truth is we didn’t write our destiny so obviously we would not know when we’re are getting married. We can only decide on when we would like to get married. Some people would like to get married in thier 30s and some in thier 20s. So the right question in this situation is “when would you like to get married?”. Marriage is something that God has decided when it’s going to happen, who you’re going to get married to and how it’s going to happen.
