- Google is a search engine that provides access to a vast amount of information on the internet in the form of web pages which can include text, images, videos, and other multimedia elements.
- ChatGPT, on the other hand, generates text in a specific format based on the task it is fine-tuned for, for example, if it is fine-tuned for text generation, it will generate text in a coherent and grammatically correct format.
- Google provides a variety of tools and features such as the ability to filter results by date, location, and relevance, for example, you can search for “Italian restaurants near me” and it will show you the list of Italian restaurants with their location and ratings.
- ChatGPT can also be fine-tuned to generate specific forms of text, such as creative writing, composing emails and even coding, for example, if you want to generate an email with a specific format, you can fine-tune ChatGPT to generate an email with a specific format, such as “Dear [Name], I hope you are doing well, ….”
- Google also provides Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, which are web-based office apps that allow users to create, edit and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, for example, you can use Google Docs to write a report and share it with your team members.
- ChatGPT, in contrast, generates text in a specific format based on the task it is fine-tuned for, for example, if you fine-tune it for question answering, it will generate text in the form of answers to the questions.
