Ever feel like happiness is a myth? We spend our lives chasing it, often associating it with success, money, fame, and all the shiny things. But what if true happiness lies elsewhere? Let me tell you my story, a tale of two worlds — a world before screens and a world dominated by social media.

I grew up in a rural area, where life was a symphony of joy. My days were filled with real connections — spending time with loved ones, playing games under the open sky, and forging friendships that warmed the soul. My studies thrived alongside these genuine interactions.

Then came the whirlwind of the COVID-19 pandemic. It wasn’t just the world that changed; my entire life shifted. Physical interactions with friends and family became a thing of the past. Games transformed from the dusty fields to the cold, digital realm. The world shrank to the size of a mobile screen.

Suddenly, I found myself yearning for those simpler days. School days, often romanticized as the best years of our lives, suddenly made perfect sense. Back then, our ambitions were innocent — building relationships, playing, and maybe even making some money seemed like the ultimate goals.

Now, looking back, I realize the true magic of my childhood. It was the joy of exploring the village, the warmth of family stories whispered by grandparents, the anticipation of a single cartoon on TV, and the boundless energy spent playing with friends, come rain or shine.

Isn’t it ironic? We crave adulthood, dreaming of independence and success. But somewhere along the way, we lose touch with the simple joys that truly nourished our happiness. It makes you wonder — is all this technology, while connecting us to a wider world, also stealing our peace and joy?

This is my journey, a story of chasing happiness through a screen. What’s yours?
