Regional Transit Stories

Executive Summary —

“I’m a believer in the ordinary person, that the ordinary person is just as important and has an equally unique perspective on the world as someone who is famous or perhaps more privileged.”
 — Brandon Stanton, Creator of Humans of New York

Overview (Original Pitch):

A video series that documents the lives of the Gainesville residents who use the RTS bus system to get from place to place. Ideally, I will try to ride a wide variety of buses that travel throughout the city to talk to all kinds of people. From UF students to long-time Gainesville natives, I want to use the videos to tell the stories of the people who live in this city and make it what it is. I have only lived here a short time, but I love the way that Gainesville is connected and the people are proud to live here. Inspired by Humans of New York, but with a new, multimedia spin, Regional Transit Stories will capture the lives of ordinary people.

In Short:

Ride the bus. Ask people three questions. Video their answers.
