Great points! I wrote an article on gun control and there were responses to it, (naturally) and I spent hours drafting diplomatic, well-researched, and thought-out rebuttals…and all people could focus on was being defensive and voicing the fact that I seemed like I was siding with all liberals. (Left vs. Right discussions, basically). They wanted it to become a fight, but I opted out. I wasn’t getting anywhere.
