What happened to you is, for lack of a better word, infuriating. Being overpowered by anyone, physically or sexually, is terrifying, confusing, and unfair. Being a white male is one thing, but a white male in a position of authority is even worse. It is terrible what they said to you and the lack of justice that you received.

I think I gave up on getting justice for my attackers a long, long time ago. It took me a while to figure out it wasn’t my fault, and I was raised to be a nice little girl who didn’t make waves, so I was pretty much fucked from the beginning.

Justice was not an option for me, as well as the majority of women who have been victimized, but finding closure was a personal choice. I can write about it and support others- they can continue being assholes who secretly hate themselves.
