A New Beginning

This platform has been my home for over two years straight. And ‘Molly Maguire’ has been my identity throughout. But now I have transcended that pen name and that’s why I decided to retire it. From this moment on, I will be writing under my own name. I don’t know about the specifics yet but I’m sure we’ll figure that out eventually. Thank you all for the crazy amount of claps, reads and comments. They mean the world to me.

The Ledge

One Man’s Struggle With His Demons — ‘Do you have the guts to end it all right here, right now?’ The old man stared at the young man, almost begging him for some relief. The young man stayed quiet. He just motioned the other to come down from the ledge. The old man wouldn’t budge though. And…

The Black Widow

How My Life Drastically Changed In Six Short Months — Everything she wore was black. Her clothes, her makeup, even her nails were painted black. In fact, the only reason I even noticed her at all, was because of her black toenails. That and her ever present cigarette. She smoked all the time. I didn’t know anything else about her. …

The Last General

How I Discovered My Inner Greatness — ‘Why are you such a pussy?’ The man who had uttered these words was staring me straight in the face, his gaze severe and unyielding. The general never flinches. We all knew that. His real name was Addison Brisbane Carmack, or ABC to his few friends, but the three of…

Surviving Las Vegas

My Two Week Stint In The City Of Sin — ‘Some guys can’t handle Vegas.’ That’s what the huge security guard told my friend after throwing my drunk ass out on the street. I had been involved in a massive fight at an MGM nightclub during the wee hours of the morning. In fact, I might have even instigated the…

Innocence Lost

The One Summer I’ll Never Forget — My parents turned around and waved one last time. And just like that, they were gone. From now on, I would be on my own. None of this had been my idea at all, to be honest. …

The Biggest Secret

All You Need To Know And More — I don’t know exactly when the biggest secret was finally revealed to me. Those details are lost in the fog of time. A fog so dense that only a handful of memories managed to outrun it. And those few memories are now etched in my brain forever. Among them, my…

The Root Of All Evil

Memoirs Of A Bubble Chaser — ‘What if there’s nothing special about being rich???’ That’s my only journal entry on 11/11/17. I netted 10k that day and, all in all, I would make a little over 100k that month. Don’t think that the money made me happy though. In fact, it made things even worse for…

The Truest Test Of Character

My Lifelong Search For Deliverance — I was walking home, when I heard a muffled scream in the darkness. Barely ten minutes ago, I had been at a bar partying with my sister and her friends. The occasion was my sister’s birthday. But we didn’t need an official reason to party back in those days. …

The Truth About Writing

My Blunt Advice To Aspiring Authors — I have been struggling the last few days. The struggle really started when I decided to switch from daily writing to long form writing. Not that daily writing was a walk in the park to begin with. Especially when I started out, writing every day was excruciating. The thought of…
