This is a great piece, but this is an enormous exaggeration. ActBlue, the individual donation platform, is located in DC so lots of large chunks of small campaign contributions for all candidates flow through in that format.

If you have a source to debunk this other than gobling.wordpress.com (which seems to be the only source of this figure) please cite — does your essay a disservice by not citing.
