6. Step
Project overview: Step rewards its users for walking with $BNB. The rewards are distributed across players who have at least 18K $STEP tokens or an NFT. According to their documentation, the reward — $BNBs are sent directly to the user's wallet. The reward is proportional to the number of $STEP tokens held in the wallet and the rewards are distributed across all the users that completed 4k steps for the day.
Network: BSC
Tokenomics: Step has only one token: $STEP and one type of NFT. The token has no value capturing mechanisms. The maximum supply is 1B. The advantage is that the rewards are paid in the BNBs.
7. Defit
Project overview: DEFIT | Digital Fitness is a project that will allow users to connect their fitness devices, track activities and receive tokens for that. At the moment among fitness trackers, only Garmin is available. The application was launched in May’22. Also, there is no need to buy NFT to receive tokens.
At the moment, there is no move-to-earn functionality, but developers are working on it. There will be rewards for running, swimming and riding a bike. Still, there is no white paper.
Network: Polygon and Ethereum.
Tokenomics: the project has only one token: $DEFIT. Its holders will receive special discounts on the partners’ sports equipment. Later there will be NFTs made by French Artist who has collaborated with brands like Dior, Valentino, L’Oréal, Lindt, PSG & Coca-Cola.
8. Dose
Project overview: DOSE Token is a token for an OliveX (Animoca Brands’ spinoff) ecosystem with different games and staking rewards. The following applications provide an opportunity to earn this token:
- Dustland Runner is an application that rewards the user with tokens for completing running missions. There will be an opportunity to purchase in-game assets for $DOSE that will unlock tougher missions. Also, there will be available battle passes that will give access to time-limited missions. There will be cross-promotions with projects by Animoca Brands. There is no need to have NFT to start playing the game.
- Dustland Rider is similar to the previous game but will be for riding the bike. At the moment it is under development.
- 22 Pushups, at the moment the rewards are unavailable. The rewards will be awarded for daily pushups.
- Kara smart fitness, at the moment the rewards are unavailable. The application that tracks your activities and analyses them using AI. The user will be rewarded for completing exercises.
Network: Ethereum (ERC-20).
Tokenomics: $DOSE has a limited supply of the 5B tokens. It can be used to purchase in-game equipment. The rewards are defined daily and the everyday pool will be decreasing. This pool will be distributed across all of the players. To earn more the players will need to buy better NFT-equipment.
9. Yeticoin
Project overview: The project still has no application, but the idea is to reward users for them being more active and social. The company sells merch like shorts, t-shirts and more.
Also, the project has NFTs that enable access to benefits like training courses, diets, training with coaches, community events, discounts for gyms and more.
Network: Ethereum (ERC)
Tokenomics: $YETIC has a total supply of 1 quadrillion tokens. There will be no wallet that will be able to hold more than 2.5% of the tokens (an anti-dump mechanism). 1% of every buy and sell transaction will go to the holders, and 5% will go to the marketing, development, partnerships, buybacks and more.
10. Calo
Project overview: This project is very similar to STEPN Official, even with a similar interface.
Network: BSC
Tokenomics: Calo has two tokens:
- $FIT can be received for walking in a single or challenge mode. They can be used to repair sneakers, mint them, level up and more.
- $CALO (total supply 500M) can be received through the “token generation event” like challenges (missions).
Also, Calo has its own sneakers that allow users to earn in-game rewards.
