Monaco is moving to Discord

We are moving from Slack to Discord starting on 12 Feb 2018.

Dear community members,

Following input from the community, starting 12 Feb 2018, we will begin migrating from Slack to Discord. As you may be aware, we are facing limitations on our current Slack channel due to storage issues, incomplete message histories, unable to access the announcement page and many more. It was designed as a communication tool for corporate teams with a monthly fee.

We currently have close to 6,300 members and the numbers are growing daily. Thus, we have made the decision with our community admins to move our community to Discord as it was built for larger online communities. We hope you will like it.

Discord allows an unlimited number of users, file uploads, message histories, and other great features. We do understand that Discord has been previously associated with gaming communities, but we will look into improving it and create an engaging community experience in this new channel. Please bear with us as we all learn the tricks of this new platform.

We welcome the entire Monaco community to join us in Discord! Our Slack channel will remain active to ensure a smooth transition, but gradually (7–14 weeks maybe ;-)), all communications will take place in Discord.
