02. Vedere, to see

Somewhere along the lines someone lied to us and said there was such a thing as being an adult. We’re all just kids pretending to know something more than the rest. And interestingly enough- the older we get and the more we see the less we know.

So I am off to see more. I am returning to the motherland of my ancestors, Italia. The nation younger than the states but the land with a recorded history older than Columbus. My journey starts the eve of the 26th. I’ll be taking my one carry-on bag and traveling transatlantic alone for the the first time in my life. And oh, what a rich travel life I have had this far. Yet, it has never truly been alone. This, this is what I am looking forward to; the aloneness. The non-sharing of any part of my adventure. Selfish, true. Nessecary, most definitely.

In the last trip to Italy I had scribed my adventures on a blog written by a just-turned- 20something college girl. This time, it will be by someone who knows far less than I did then; and that is what I look forward to the most- existenting in an old world with a new perspective. Stay tuned.
