This article was refreshing! Dishes use to be the scourge of my day. My anxiety and depression made a mountain out of a molehill.
I don’t tell my husband and kids, but dishes are a time for relaxation. I focus on the temperature of the water, The smell of the soap and bleach, and the atmosphere sometimes silence of the room. I can’t eat anything, but will imagine food in my mouth.
Prayer is also done while cleaning allowing for mundane sometimes arduous tasks to become joyful as Jehovah intends for work to be.
I’ll try to find more places to implement mindfulness throughout my day. Thank you!
