Tummy fat is one of the biggest challenges facing most people nowadays. In an attempt to lose the stubborn tummy fat, people resort to different things, one of which is exercise. Even though exercise is one of the surest ways of losing weight, it only gets rid of some of the fat, which ultimately returns when you stop working out.

Secondly, you cannot exercise when you are injured or unwell. Therefore, it is best to find a way to lose belly fat with minimal exercising or no exercise at all. Below are three tips for losing belly fat without having to work out.

1. Drink Up

Your body hoards water when you are dehydrated, and your midsection is one of the areas where this water is stored. Thus, your tummy will appear enlarged due to this water. To avoid this, keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water and other hydrating liquids like fresh juices, milk and sports drinks. Experts recommend a minimum intake of eight glasses of hydrating fluids per day.

Green tea is another fluid that fastens the loss of stomach fat because it contains fat killing compounds known as catechins, which fasten the release of fats from cells. Consuming foods rich in water like salads and soups is another excellent way of keeping yourself hydrated.

Remember to completely stop or reduce your intake of dehydrating drinks like alcohol and sugary drinks like sodas.

2. Stick to Healthy Meals

Regular intake of an imbalanced diet is the main reason why most people quickly accumulate tummy fat. Fries, fried chicken or hot dog, may be sumptuous, but if you are on a mission to get a flat tummy, these are your worst enemies.

Ideally, a balanced diet contains high proteins, fibres with no sugars, fruits and vegetables. To make your diet fun, you can incorporate foods with exciting colours such as red raspberries. Besides being very fun to eat, the berries contain raspberry ketone, an ingredient mainly responsible for the loss of tummy fat. The berries also contain unique sugars that reduce your craving for synthetic sugars.

Avoid processed foods like sausages, sugary treats and other processed foods, and you will be on the right track.

3. De-Stress Regularly

When you are stressed, your body produces cortisol hormone that causes the release of fat in areas like your midsection. Thus to avoid this fat, it is best to keep stress at bay by de-stressing regularly. Stress-reducing practices include breathing techniques, meditation, journaling, and taking screen breaks like taking regular breaks from your phone or the computer.

Raspberries and green tea also help reduce stress, so be sure to incorporate them into your diet.

It is possible to lose tummy fat without stepping foot in a gym. Just remember to stay hydrated, eat healthy and avoid stress. Also, make sure your lifestyle choices are geared towards your goal, which is to have a flat tummy.
