What are you most often grateful for? I can list 7 items that I thank God for daily
Ever since I became a mom, what I am most grateful for is that my son is healthy and happy.
It’s difficult to describe to someone who doesn’t have kids. The closest I can come to is that it’s like having your heart walk around independently of you. And your heart (kids) is vulnerable, so vulnerable.
Related, my son is only 18 months old.
He’s still quite a hand full. So at the end of the day, I’m grateful for having survived another day with my sanity intact.
I’m grateful for having such a loving and caring husband. And that our relationship is reaching new levels.
It’s been tough adjusting to life with a baby. But we’re persevering and working together better as a couple.
My mom has been a Godsend. Throughout the time I’ve been adjusting to my new life with my son, she’s been a big support. And when I didn’t even know I needed someone to help with cleaning the house or making food, she jumped in.
I’m so so grateful to her.
My in-laws are also great. I often hear horror stories about people’s in-laws, but honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better family to join.
They make me a better person.
And they make me feel like I belong. Something I have always craved.
And my husband’s sisters have become close friends. I treasure them and the relationships we have formed.
And then, something not quite so touchy-feely — Rain. I’m so grateful when it rains.
It reminds me of how magnificent nature is. And our earth could use the sustenance as we’ve been struggling with drought in South Africa.
I could go on, but these are what I am most often grateful for.
