Recovering beauty & wellness fiend, observer of societal expectations, "That's-what-they-want-us-to-think"-er.

Currently embracing the Southern California way of life in San Diego. I write about the female experience of fashion, beauty, fitness, and wellness over-consumption - and its impact on mental health and well-being.

During the transition from my late twenties to turning thirty, I have become aware of the materialism that shaped my feminine identity. This led me to shed long bleach blonde hair extensions and false eyelashes to embrace my naturally curly hair and a clean face without makeup.

It meant reconsidering my relationship with alcohol and reputation as a “party girl.” Reducing the frequency of behaviors that don’t serve me - like social media scrolling, excessive podcast listening, Netflix bingeing, and junk food overeating.

Documenting the evolution into a mindful feminine identity free of societal expectations.
