How to insert web contents into obsidian vault with images

Obsidian doesn’t have a web clipper like Evernote or OneNote.
Obsidian users use third-party web clippers to insert web contents into Obsidian.
Most of the existing tools download web contents in markdown format into downloads folder or a lot of configurations required for directly insert into Obsidian vault.

I show you the easiest way to directly inserts web contents into Obsidian vault. Just install markClipper Chrome extension from Chrome web store and give write permission and your work is done.markClipper directly insert web contents into the Obsidian vault.

One time step: Install Chrome extension

Install markClipper Chrome extension from chrome web store. install now

One time step: Give Permission

Right click on extension’s icon and click on Vault permission to open Vault permission page. Click on Add Vault button to add new vault.

Step 1: Open markClipper extension

Click on extension’s icon to open extension popup window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+X

Step 2: Grab web contents

Clip Article
Keyboard shortcut: Alt+A Click on Clip Article button to clip an article in a new note in Obsidian vault.
If you want to save images inside clipped articles, then you need to enable this feature in extension's options page

Append text in existing note
Click on open notes button and select note in which you want to insert text.
Drag-n-drop selected text or images that you want to insert.

Step 3: Export to Obsidian vault

Click to Export button to insert web contents into selected notes in Obsidian vault.

Only for brave users

Brave users need to enable File Access Api

  1. Paste this url in address url bar brave://flags/#file-system-access-api
  2. Enable #file-system-access-api
  3. Reload Brave browser
