I’m learning that prayer is an activity in letting go and surrendering. Everything else that happens in prayer is the work of Someone Else.

Prayer cannot be forced, but neither is it effortless. It takes concerted effort to let go and fall. It’s hard to unburden yourself. But once this is done, God takes over.

Contemplative prayer requires nothing more than your presence and vulnerability. This is the work of prayer.

May you find the strength to do this and faithfully knowing that God will do the rest. Peace be with you. 🙏🏽🌻
