When visiting California, more specifically, the best part of California, Southern California, even more specific, Orange County, there are many places and attractions to see. There are a variety of different activities available for all different kinds of people. Having lived in Orange County my whole life, I know some extra special places to take people. Orange County has so much to offer considering there are so many cities to visit. The places I love to go are considered “tourist attractions” but they are also some of the reasons why Orange County, California is widely known. This is a list of 5 things that I love doing while in Orange County.

  1. Disneyland — This is one that I highly enjoy, but do not need to do it very often. Disneyland and California Adventure amusement parks are so fun and the food is so tasty. This is one that if you come to Orange County you just have to visit Disneyland or you just don’t get the true Orange County experience.

2. Honda Center — This one is my absolute favorite, if you are a hockey fan you will probably agree with me. Going to the Honda Center to watch an Anaheim Ducks hockey game is such an adrenaline rush and has a great atmosphere. If you are a hockey fan and visiting Orange County in the right season you should most definitely take a visit to the Honda Center to watch a game, even if you aren’t a fan they are still a super fun environment to be a part of.

3. Angels Stadium — On the topic of sports, Baseball the sport America, is another activity you could take part in when visiting Orange County because it is the home of the Anaheim Angels. Baseball games on a warm summer day has been something I have done for years, the food, the drinks, the cheers, the view, the company you surround yourself with, and everything else makes paying a visit to the Angels Stadium something that should be put on your to-do list if you plan on coming.

4. Top of the World — Now this is more of a local’s thing. In Orange County we have a few different ones, but they are known as Top of the World, they are some of the higher points in the county were you get to look out and see all the lights and the mountains and possibly even the ocean. It most of the time is a little walk to get there but it is well worth it, especially if you go up during a sunset or sunrise.

5. Redwood — If you like the outdoors this is the place for you. The Redwoods is a huge forest like park, there is places to have a picnic, go for a couple mile walk, and if you walk far enough into the park there is even a lake and a playground for your little kids. It is a very relaxing place to be even if you don’t like to do lots of physical activities.

6. O.C. Fair — Last on the list is something that you can attend only if you are there in the mid to late summer days. The O.C. Fair is probably not much different than other county fairs but it has been something that I have done since I was little, it makes summer a true summer, in my book. The O.C. Fair has some great games, roller coasters, and once again some super tasty food.

All in all, Orange County, California has a lot of great things to offer and when coming to visit it would be a good idea to follow this list. Orange County is one of the greatest places to live and to visit from its food, views, roller coasters and so much more. Enjoy the greatest county with the help of this list.
