Meet Mt Pelerin, first tokenized Swiss bank*

I would like to share with you the decision of our team who has “libertarian heart and soul”.

SMEX is the holding company and the tech foundation of our two operative companies: ibani and SMEX.World. Both with specific focus and business activities.

We decided to rename our bank to make it clearer, to avoid confusion with the similar names and to match the name with our corporate philosophy and message. So, the new name of our bank is Mt Pelerin.

What does it mean for us and why?

Of course, we have our identity guidelines. A little of history…

On the one side, you know that the Mont Pelerin Society is an international organisation composed of economists, philosophers, historians, intellectuals, business leaders, and others committed to their understanding of personal and political freedom.

The society advocates freedom of expression, free market economic policies, the political values of an open society. The members see the Society as an effort to interpret in modern terms the fundamental principles of economic society.

From the other side, we understand and we are close to the philosophy of the libertarianism. Liberty is a core principle for us. Generally, libertarians seek to maximize political freedom and autonomy, emphasizing freedom of choice, voluntary association, individual judgment and self-ownership.

All libertarians begin with a conception of personal autonomy from which they argue in favour of civil liberties. Our goal should be to secure people’s money. Do you think I am dreaming? You are right… I have this dream of a full reserved market place and tokenized Swiss bank… But it is not just a dream!

Mt Pelerin believes in creating a fairer and safer finance. A finance where everyone has power over their money, where there are no borders between countries and people, by creating one decentralized finance and with a better technology.

Mt Pelerin also wants to create the clean bridge between cryptocurrency and the legacy world.

Let’s say: “Good luck, Mt Pelerin!”

* Please keep in mind: Mt Pelerin is a project that intend to be regulated as a bank and obtain a banking license in 2018, but we are not a bank yet.
