Sunrise
The light played on the muscles of his back and the veins down his arm flung around my chest pulling me in. I lay there facing him admiring the shapes and lines of his face the sharp curve of his jawline, the fluttering of his eyelashes as he dreamed, the little white scar above his upper lip, and the freckles across his nose and face. I leaned over and kissed each of his eyelids, his enchanting blue eyes fluttered open and a lazy smile stretched across his face, “Morning,” he rumbled his voice still tinged with sleep. “Morning yourself, if I hadn’t woke you who knows how long we would have been here.” He laughs and pulls me close and rolls on top of me trapping me under him, and proceeds to rub his scratchy beard all over my face, “Stop, stop, stop! I surrender! God that feels like sandpaper!,” I exclaim. He laughs but stops and I feel his body relax, so I quickly flip us over kissing all over his face, down his neck, to his ears, tugging lightly with my teeth, he groans, I laugh and continue my journey down his chest. He quickly pulls me back up and kisses me harshly on the mouth, “Hold on baby, we need breakfast first.” “Alright whatever,” I chuckle, I abruptly get up from bed the sheets falling from my body, revealing my naked body, just as I’m about to step out of bed, he grabs my arm tugging me back, “On second thought,” he says, “Who really needs food anyway?” I laugh as we make love, and the sun rises over the mountains promising more of this life to come.
