The premise of hibernation

A guy brought his pet hedgehogs at work the other day. Go figure.

Someone said, “you have to be careful with hedgehogs when it’s so cold outside because if they are too cold for too long they’ll go in hibernation”.

And I’m like, what´s wrong with that? Let the spiky pig sleep !

I just checked, and hibernation is defined as a state of inactivity and metabolic depression in endotherms (organisms that maintain our body temperature apparently).

Metabolic depression is all I caught from that sentence though.

Sounds about right. That must be what I have. Can you catch it?
I can feel it creeping in. And sleeping does feel like the only remedy.
I wish I would go to sleep for the remaining of the winter.

Wake up, rested, hungry and clueless.

And start fresh with renewed energy.
