We want to thank our loyal community for the tremendous growth we have experienced in the past couple months of our beta launch. In recent weeks, we have hosted daily live streams, trivia competitions, and (mini) promotions — all with more new users than ever before. We are truly grateful to our players for sticking with us and are excited for things to come in the foreseeable future.

With all this attention, however, a few actors have also begun to spread FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) regarding our game and its legitimacy. Members of incumbent gaming sites have attempted to take down Moon3D’s reputation with a slew of twisted information. Luckily, our players have come to our support!

Our players’ rebuttals on FUD accusations on YouTube

Among the accusations made against us include falsehood about our house edge, bonus promo, max profit, and the nature of our code.

As a result, we decided to address each of these points (and more) in an assertive way for our present, past, and future members of the Moon3D community.

Why don’t we have the BaB license?

Each week, we push new features to reimagine and innovate on our game! While we respect BaB’s implementation, we don’t believe they own sole proprietorship to all other implementations of the crash gaming concept. Like most Internet ideas, it seems to us only the implementation matters. Unlike most licensed sites, we took the painstaking effort of upgrading our game way beyond the usual v1 features.

Specifically, we built new (never before seen) features like our novel round bonus system, profit share referral system, and our futuristic graphics interface that makes us stand out amid our competitors — all in TypeScript (a different language from JavaScript) — making the game not only look novel and unique but also function as a game in a unique way!

Sites using paid code/license (top two) VS Moon3D, coded predominantly in-house (bottom)

To those that believe that licensing is the only path to legitimacy, we would like to share the following counterexample. Recently, there has been a suite of gaming sites (e.g. CrashDoge) whose operators purchased the BaB license to claim legitimacy, whereas being licensed in fact did not stop them from exhibiting a scammy behavior by unsuccessfully paying out wins!

On that note, we believe that the path to legitimacy comes from these key factors:

  1. Through a consistent, proven record of service to our players and community over time (i.e. consistency over time)
  2. Continuity of our game with a good uptime
  3. Successful payouts from the game
  4. Interactive and iterative product feedback loop
  5. Prioritizing user happiness and a positive community

What is our Max Profit?

The Max Profit written on the Moon3D graph on the site represents the maximum amount of crypto (ETH) that players can win per round. During our beta testing period, the Max Profit variable experienced a bug that we admitted and promptly resolved (within a week). As the bug was resolved, our Max Profit has worked perfectly ever since!

In this round, you can win 85+ ETH by wagering less than 1 ETH and hitting the moon (100x+).

What is Moon3D’s house edge?

Please note our dynamic bonus schemes allow a dynamic house edge anywhere from -3% to 3% depending on how one plays, but when modeled the average house edge turns out to be 1.5%. Nowhere have we advertised our house edge as less than 1.5% only.

False accusation: “Nowhere have we advertised our house edge as less than 1.5% only.”

Previously, we stated our average house edge (1.5%) to be our house edge without providing the possible range (-3% to 3%). When pointed out by our community consequently, we admitted it would be best to provide the range in addition to the average house edge which is 1.5% to convey the information with more clarity.

Our Email Promotions

Once every 2 weeks or so, we run an email campaign offering a generous promotion for deposit bonuses, etc. which we believe absolutely amplify the incentive and the fun for our players. So far, we have not yet sent out these promotions to everyone however but only to the selected few, as these promotions via email have been intended ONLY for the recipients. In other words, if you never got any of these emails, then you are NOT eligible for the promotion!

Nonetheless, we received an important feedback from our community that our terms may have been ambiguous in the process. We quickly admitted, and instead of sticking to our original gun and deciding not to credit those who weren’t eligible for the promo, we decided to offer generosity and thus over-credited our users who participated in the promo regardless of their eligibility. As such, we resolved all cases as soon as possible (within a week)!

Miscellaneous FUD

  1. Yes, we ban minors, scammers, and players who threaten our community (by spamming the chat, cursing, etc.).
  2. As operators of Moon3D, we control several admin functions to run the game. These functions include Start Game, Pause Game, Credit Giveaway, and Regenerate Hash Chain. This last function was used ONLY ONCE for our Seeding Event on Bitcointalk and will never be used again (unless a situation arises where we need to generate a fresh new hash chain for whatever reason). While the concern was that we could use this admin function to somehow manipulate the game, please note you can always check that Moon3D’s games are provably fair by visiting our jsfiddle.
  3. Occasionally due to our temporary lag in system or temporary conditions of the Ethereum blockchain (e.g. fork, high gas fee, etc.), we had to deal with issues regarding delays in deposits or withdrawals of user funds. As we deeply understand that handling user funds is absolutely a critical issue, we have always endeavored to be prompt in our customer support and have successfully resolved issues usually within a 12-hour time period were they to arise.
Bonus credited for those who experienced delays

In fact, not only have we resolved issues but we love compensating for the lost time (as time is money). We genuinely want our players to be happy!

Concluding Remarks: Again, a few malicious members have repeated cases of spreading FUD in the community. These incidents include: defaming a v1 BaB clone site, stealing funds, and being untruthful to our mods and our community by resorting to spreading fake news (as opposed to reporting issues to the site to resolve them healthily) to intentionally mislead others.

These members are not to be trusted.

Definitely not to be trusted if they A) lost their wager on site and demands an unreasonable payout; or B) work for a competitor either directly or indirectly and start spreading FUD in deliberate ways to tarnish Moon3D’s reputation.

Moon!

If ever in doubt, please feel free to ask one of our over 1000+ Verified Discord Members and our general community in game’s chat to verify the following three things.

  1. No loss of funds ever happened on Moon3D.
  2. All payouts have been won and withdrawn successfully.
  3. All issues have been resolved when brought to attention via prompt customer support.

All that being said, we want to thank our players once again for not only playing on Moon3D and partaking in our positive community, but also standing up for us and defending us against multiple FUD accusations that arose in the past couple weeks.
