Unfortunately, these struggles are very real for women tech companies. I worked for a startup in Denver, and I could provide an extensive list of how women in our company were treated poorly, including a very interesting story about maternity leave (a new mother was called the morning after giving birth and asked to resolve a customer problem/told that she didn’t need to be able to walk, just type). And while the CEO regularly spoke of his open-door policy, anyone that raised a concern quickly found themselves in the cross hairs.
