One day I stressed this Holon idea in public, saying that in Cern — at the large haldron collider — they we’re looking for the wrong ‘things’, the bosons. In stead, they might or should be looking for the connections. A few days later I came across Howard Georgi who’s calculations confirmed that the powers they we’re searching for, like gravitation, lie in the connections. As you put it: the whole-part relationship. In every aspect of life we see those connections at work. Some call it Love. When we study the fenomenon you might call it filotic systems, or swarming intelligence. In such a study we’ll find the Holon in action: the ant and the colony, the bird and the swarm, the sheep and the flock, …., mankind and our planet.
